Many restaurants are offering great vegetarian and vegan options, and we’ve selected the ones that you should definitely try this August.

Frida Cocina
$25 for a 2 Course Dinner or Lunch Including a Beer

The home of authentic Mexican flavours at the Viaduct, Frida Cocina, is offering a cheese and mushroom chile relleno with halloumi cheese for the main, followed by a delicious pastel flan with chocolate, coconut and cajeta caramel sauce.

Green Time
$25 for a 2 Course Dinner or Lunch Including a Hot Drink

This Restaurant Month, Green Time is offering some great vegan options including quesadillas with spicy homemade adobo hummus and black beans, Japanese yakisoba with tomatoes, cabbage, bean sprouts and mushrooms, as well as black forest naked cake and baked blueberry cheesecake for dessert.

Xuxu Dumpling Bar
$25 a 2 Course Dinner or Lunch Including a Glass of Wine

Xuxu’s vegetarian offering includes spinach and water chestnut momo and tofu, soy bean and garlic dumplings. For dessert choose between a chocolate fondant and banoffee.

White + Wong’s
$40 for a 3 Course Dinner or Lunch

As part of White + Wong’s Restaurant Month menu, the vegetarian dishes you can enjoy are Buddha’s Delight with silken tofu, shiitake and cashew nuts, wontons with tofu, shiitake and Chinese cabbage and a chilli eggplant roti roll.  

Vivace
$40 for a 2 Course Dinner or Lunch

Head to Vivace for the flavoursome Mediterranean fare and friendly atmosphere. Vegetarian Options include chilli marinated halloumi served with fresh ciabatta, baked eggplant with ginger and caramel sauce, and mushroom risotto.

Chawla’s Indian Restaurant
$40 for a 3 Course Dinner or Lunch Including a Beer

Chawla’s is your destination for a flavour-packed Indian feast. A 3 course vegetarian meal includes onion bhaaji, palek paneer, a creamy curry with spinach and cream cheese, with gulab jamun or ice cream for dessert.

Monsoon Poon
$40 for a 3 Course Dinner or Lunch

At this South-East Asian fusion eatery you can enjoy Vietnamese summer rolls with vegetables, Malaysian flat bread filled with sweet chilli eggplant, with the Malaysian sago pudding as a sweet finish.

Hectors Restaurant
$55 for a 3 Course Dinner

This stunning restaurant at the Heritage Hotel will impress you with its exquisite 3 course vegan menu. You will start with crumbed mushroom with wasabi cream and truffle crisp, followed by tempura broccolini with nut crusted chive, mozzarella balls and cauliflower chest purée, and completed with the delicious berry mille-feuille with coconut cream and fresh berries.
