Misters Granola - Breakfast in the city

It's a common theme of many mornings. We're pressed for time and breakfast is forgotten. We grab a coffee to fill the gap and leave our bellies grumbling. Or worse we down a sugary or processed snack that leaves you more than a little lack luster for the remainder of the day.

Inner city cafes are now recognising the need to provide us with enriching, nutritional and tasty breakfasts that are easy to eat on the go and have you starting your day the way you really should. Check out our picks of seven cafes doing it best here.

  1. Greedy Guts
Quickly becoming the experts crafting sandwiches of all kinds and more to feed the hungry, Greedy Guts is all about serving up tasty food for people on the go. We can’t go past the mouthwatering ‘Morning Greed’ open sandwich, piled high with smashed mint peas, ricotta, smoked salmon and dill. But be warned, one visit to Greedy Guts and you’ll quickly be returning to try everything on the menu.

  3. Scarecrow

Start with one of three options of paleo, natural or gluten free muesli, top with your choice of poached seasonal fruits and dollop on either natural or dairy free coconut yoghurt (which we highly recommend). Then pour on almond, soy, or organic milk to finish. If you’re on the go this comes packaged nicely in a little pot to take away too. All for only $9, yum.
