Tiramarama Way

A beautiful laneway in the heart of Wynyard Quarter

This laneway in Wynyard Quarter, with its innovative design, represents an interpretation of the original shoreline of Waitemata Harbour.

Literally translated, Tiramarama Way means to shine, glimmer and light the way and sits nestled within the Innovation Precinct.

The lane is open for residents, workers and visitors of Wynyard Quarter to discover its many special design features.

These include purposeful puddles designed to rise and fall with the tides and provide an opportunity for play and a stunning suspended light arrangement that celebrates constellations specific to Māori astronomy including Te Punga (The Southern Cross) and Matariki.

The lane is East by West link that runs between Daldy and Halsey streets. At the eastern end its leads onto new retailers including Williams Eatery, French patisserie La Petite Fourchette and Wine Runners while at the western end it offers a beautiful view of the Viaduct Harbour.
