From Jordan MacDonald and Kyle Street, the guys behind Culprit. and Lowbrow, comes Double Double - a new coffee bar serving Coffee Supreme next to Elliott Stables.
Perhaps the cutest wee coffee bar to call Elliott Street home, Double Double sits inside a beautiful space with high ceilings and brick wall detailing. There may not be a kitchen here, but Double Double's cabinet options are sure to delight - freshly baked goods from Il Forno bakery in Grey Lynn (the same bakery where Lowbrow sources their buns), tasty toasted sandwiches and creative sweet treats invented by Jordan and Kyle that will definitely have you coming back for more!
On the toasted sandwich menu at the moment, you'll find tasty flavour combinations sandwiched between Il Forno focaccia like the Truffle & Cheese with truffle salt, gruyere bechamel and mushroom paste, a grilled eggplant number with red pepper jam, mozzarella and rocket, and a chicken schnitzel toastie with rocket, mozzarella and a delicious tomato kasundi. This menu is expected to change seasonally, so make sure you get in to try these flavours before they're gone!
The selection of sweets are next level at Double Double! Kyle and Jordan have created some of the most incredible sweets to add to their cabinet selection. A standout for us is the 'Cornflake Crack Brownie' - a layer of caramelised cornflakes atop a chocolate brownie base.. yum!! There's also peanut butter and jam drop cookies, a GF granola slice, a pretzel loaf cake and more.
