Lucky Buddha

Enlightenment is just a meal away

With head chefs hailing from Korea and the Philippines, this excellent new eatery offers patrons a pan-Asian dining experience, with menu items to excite and delight even the most well-travelled diner.

The philosophy behind Lucky Buddha is food that brings people together, with dishes that encourage shared plates and communal, comfortable dining. Exquisite dishes such as the slow cooked lamb ribs with a carrot and apple slaw, flavoured with caramelised black vinegar, highlight traditional concepts created through modern, fine dining techniques.

Besides the central theme of Asian flavours, it’s clear that these talented chefs have presented a thoughtful menu with each dish taking you on a journey of flavour and texture. Take for example the Halo Halo – a dessert that will transport you straight to a tropical beach in Thailand; the crunch and sweetness of torched lychee mixed with soft pearls of tapioca on your tongue plus hits of icy fruit granita combine for a refreshing, unique and utterly delicious end to the meal.

The Halo Halo will have you saying Hallelujah after one bite.

The décor of Lucky Buddha is fresh and minimalist with pops of colour courtesy of eye-catching art work that puts a spotlight on the restaurants namesake – the happy-go-lucky Buddha.

Down the middle of the restaurant is a long wooden table perfect for friends and families to embrace devouring a plate together, sharing food and moments to remember long after they've left this fantastic new spot.

The interior of Lucky Buddha is fresh, colourful and modern.

Our favourites from the menu:

  • For starters, the spiced tofu salad. This clean, green start to your meal is peppered with fried tofu flavour bombs.
  • The lip-smacking slow cooked lamb ribs - sticky, tangy, tender - and wonderfully addictive.
  • Halo Halo - ready to take your taste buds on a tropical holiday? Trust us on this one.
  • And for drinks, you can't go past the Lucky Rose - with hits of lychee and rose water this pretty little concoction goes down very easy.

Don't go home without trying the Buddha's Garden and Lucky Rose house cocktails.
