There's a secret late night hang out in town for the next couple of weeks during the Auckland Live International Cabaret Season, with Cabaret season artists, ticket holders and special guests set to kick up their glittered heels at the Piano Bar until late.
Venture underground, grab a martini or two and sing along to the bar's eponymous piano to your heart’s content, led by a special guest superstar from this year’s season.
Entry to the bar is by password (which will change each day) to the door host. The secret password can be discovered when you attend your Cabaret season performance.
Or you can try charming your way in - we hear the door host, New Zealand’s own Jason Chasland aka Leather Lungs, can be swayed by a song. Jason has performed with Adele, starred in Auckward Love, and the Listener called him “showstopping!”
The piano bar is situated at Q Vault, 305 Queen St. Best access by vehicles is from Lower Greys Avenue otherwise by pedestrians via the back entrance of Q Theatre.
The Piano Bar has limited capacity, so access is not guaranteed to the bar when capacity is reached.
