Queer Yarns are back to celebrate Pride 2024 at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki.

Come and learn how to crochet your own Rainbow flag to take home and wave proudly at the Pride Parade. Pride flags are important symbols for the Queer community. Instructions and all necessary supplies will be provided on how to make a Rainbow flag or one of the many others that represent LGBTQIA+ identities. All abilities welcome.

Time expectation: 30 mins for experienced crocheters or allow up to 3 hrs if you’ve never picked up a hook! Queer Yarns will be at the gallery from 11am - 4pm.

$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more
