Ka Mua Ka Muri is a whakataukī/māori proverb that loosely means to walk backwards into the future. This is referencing knowing where you’re from to know where you’re going.

Now in its third year, Ka Mua Ka Muri is an engaging web series featuring music performances and interviews with talented musicians and songwriters from Auckland's vibrant underground music scene. Filmed in the unique setting of the second-floor basement of Auckland Central City Library, this series offers an intimate backdrop that contrasts with traditional live performance spaces.

This year's series will be showcased on the Auckland Live Digital Stage in Aotea Square as part of New Zealand Music Month. It will feature 13 captivating performances across various genres, including folk, RnB, hip hop, and jazz.

Don't miss out, and come along and enjoy the world of art!
