InMotion Matariki, the magical all-wheels illuminated parade, is returning in 2019!
Gather at Silo Park from 5:30pm to take part
Decorate your wheels to the theme of Matariki, the Māori new year, and join Touch Compass on a journey of discovery through the urban maze of Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.
All types of non-motorised wheels are welcome. Bring along your bike, scooter, wheelchair, billy-cart, skateboard, unicycle, or power chair. If you don’t have wheels, then join on foot for a lively walk.
Enjoy a mix of sensory installations, art installations and live performance along the route, before a presentation of Touch Compass’ new aerial piece, Te Ranga Ika, on The Gantry in Silo Park.
After the parade, grab a bite to eat from one of the local food trucks in Silo Park.
