House of Vans comes to New Zealand for the first time this January with a 1-day pop up celebrating Vans’ unique culture through the lens of action sports, music, art and street culture on 20 January at Shed 10.
House of Vans showcases Vans’ unique culture through a variety of activities including curated musical performances, D.I.Y workshops, street markets and even a custom pop-up Vans Skate Park.
The all ages day-session will kick off from 10am with workshops including learn to skate classes with Young Guns Skate School on the custom Vans skate park followed by a Skate Photography workshop run by Manual Magazine to teach budding skate photographers how to refine their craft. The workshops each have limited capacity with registration essential.
House of Vans Auckland also welcomes the Vans street market activations including tattoos and sneaker customisation from Two Hands Tattoos, barber cuts from Flash City, vinyl from Real Groovy Records and skate hardware from Boardertown.
The celebration will be headlined in the evening session with special musical performances from Auckland hardcore stalwarts The Bleeders with support from Soaked Oats, Yukon Era, Jack Berry Band and Hollywood DJs.
Free food and beverages throughout the event will be provided by Underground Coffee Roasters and Sal’s Pizza with Budweiser providing beers for the 18+ evening session.
