Massive Company presents Half of the Sky:

How much living can you fit in before you die? And who do you choose to do that living with?

The Walking Dead’s Lennie James is the writer.
2019 Billy T award winner Kura Forrester is a star with Shortland Street’s Grace Palmer, Westside’s Pat Tafa, Supercity’s Max Palamo and Waru’s Awhina Rose-Ashby. This extraordinary mix reflects this extraordinary family. And family is great, until that sister comes home.

Bunking in your childhood room... (along with all the children)
Affectionate reminders of your former self when your name was ‘dumpling’.
Being challenged to remember all the moves to the No Scrubs dance.
Who doesn’t love a family reunion?

Half of the Sky marks the third collaboration between Massive Theatre Company and internationally renowned writer and actor Lennie James (The Walking Dead, Fear of the Walking Dead, Save Me), following the success of The Sons of Charlie Paora (2004), Havoc in the Garden (2011), and was developed in collaboration with members of the Massive ensemble. Under the direction of Artistic Director Sam Scott, Massive Company brings a warm, courageous, and poignant new work to Q’s Loft from 16-26 October. Half of the Sky is an original work about whānau, and a tale audiences will find all too familiar.

$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more
