Archived: SOLD OUT: A Taste of Momofuku Seiōbo at The Grove

Restaurant Month 2016

This event has now sold out but don’t worry, you can watch Paul Carmichael in action at The Social Kitchen™ Theatre by Fisher & Paykel at another one-off, exclusive event.

Momofuku means ‘Lucky Peach’ in Japanese, but in today’s global restaurant world the brand Momofuku has developed to mean something much more. Momofuku, under the guidance of trail blazing chef David Chang, started by taking New York by storm with the Momofuku Noodle Bar before moving on to create a highly awarded and applauded international culinary empire.

The first restaurant outside of the United States, Momofuku Seiōbo, launched in Sydney in 2011, instantly winning the Sydney Morning Herald Best New Restaurant and currently boasting two coveted hats.

Seiōbo’s Barbados-born chef, Paul Carmichael, has been part of the Momofuku team since 2010, leading the kitchen at New York’s Má Pêche before taking over at Seiōbo last year. His menu draws from a broad culinary palette, combining his own heritage with the diverse background of the rest of the culinary team and local Australian produce.

Carmichael brings a little taste of the legendary Momofuku flair and excitement to our shores, cooking at The Grove with restaurateur Michael Dearth and executive chef Ben Bayly.

You can look forward to a spectacular surprise menu - the hero dish will be Kurobuta pork chop with jerk spices, grilled over coals and served with lime - delicious.

Seating times:

6.00pm, 6.30pm, 7.00pm, 7.30pm & 8.00pm - each seating has 10 seats available

The Chef Dining Series is delivered with the support of Restaurant Month's menu partners.
