This November, Taste of Auckland, an iconic food festival showcasing the best of the local food and drink scene, will relaunch in its new waterfront location.

Following nine successful installments, the festival will now be discontinued at Western Springs where it has been for the past 4 years. In its place a festival embracing all that is great about the Auckland food scene will appear on the city’s waterfront from 1 – 4 November 2018. The event will occupy The Cloud, Shed 10 and all the outdoor spaces of Queens Wharf.

Celebrating its 10th birthday, the event is embracing its new location and punters can expect a new look and feel combined with the favourites from the back catalogue. The festival also promises to pay homage to its proximity to the ocean with a greater component of seafood and opportunities to take in the breath-taking sea views.

Queens Wharf also offers a unique opportunity for live music performances against the backdrop of the Waitemata Harbour so this November you can enjoy some iconic live acts in the evenings under the setting sun.

Some of our favourite chefs from restaurants in the city centre are taking part this year including Sid Sahrawat (Cassia), Nobu Lee (Clooney), Kyle Street and Jordan Macdonald (Culprit. and Lowbrow.) and Ben Bayly and Juan Balsani (Baduzzi).

The full restaurant line-up is: Vodka Room, Miann, Paris Butter, Little Bird Organics, Xoong, Farina, Culprit, Lowbrow, Smoko Room, Baduzzi, Gerome and The Shucker Brothers.

With the new festival’s close proximity to Britomart transport station, the downtown ferry terminal, central city parking facilities and the main business district, it really does make the new Taste of Auckland Festival an event for the people. With this in mind the ticketing structure will be designed so that it can be enjoyed by more people than ever before – tickets will be packed with inclusions offering a great value-for-money day out.

Some of the country’s biggest music acts including Tami Neilson, Hollie Smith – DUOBarnaby Weir & Friends, Sola Rosa Sound System, Hopetoun Brown, Laughton Kora and Omega Levine will join the festival line-up.
