With bookings starting from 12:30pm each weekend, guests are invited to take an almost century-wide step back in time for an afternoon of glamour, glitz and delicious treats served in the vibrant art deco surroundings of Auckland's renowned Hotel DeBrett.
Debrett's 1920s-inspired high tea menu will tantalise the taste buds of all cake and cocktail lovers. Guests can indulge in savoury delights such as smoked salmon pinwheels, deviled eggs with crispy prosciutto, and classic prawn cocktail with avocado salsa.
Then enjoy a decadent sweet selection including gin & tonic cupcakes and jaffa mousse & hokey pokey tartlets. Those are just a couple of the menu's indulgences that can be paired with a selection of hand-picked New Zealand teas.
Both the menu and the music are the "Bee's Knees' with Hotel Debrett's lovingly restored gramophone filling the room with a selection of favorites from the Great Gatsby era, guaranteed to get your toes tapping.
Tea is served each weekend priced at NZD $55 per person, including cocktail on arrival.
Dress Code - 'Flappers and Dappers' are most welcome, and can be complemented by Hotel Debretts 1920's inspired packs from $15 per person; filled with faux pearls, elegant headbands, demure long gloves and bright feather boas.
