Te Taumata Kapa Haka – Wahine Toa - Matariki Festival 2018

Don’t miss captivating, live performances by some of the best kapa haka in Aotearoa, including Te Waka Huia and Waihirere – two kapa haka who have held the Te Matatini national title an impressive 11 times between them! 

This year’s showcase will highlight the power of wahine in a cultural context. Join in the celebration of wahine toa in the kapa haka world. 

Visit the kapa haka lightbox installation outside the ASB Waterfront Theatre, featuring iconic images of kaihaka provided by Te Matatini. The installation is on display during Matariki Festival, 30 June – 22 July.
