Archived: New Zealand International Film Festival 2018

The New Zealand International Film Festival kicks off on 19 July with an exciting programme of over 150 films. 

This year, this iconic festival is celebrating its 50th birthday and to mark the occassion the programme offers a number of films from half a century of NZIFF screenings including the film which opened the first-ever 1969 Auckland International Film Festival, Hunger

Another highlight of 2018 is thirty films direct from the Cannes Film Festival  inluding eleven from the Competition section such as Palme d’Or winner Shoplifters, Jury Prize winner Capernaum and Best Screenplay winners (tied) 3 Faces and Happy As Lazzaro.

NZIFF will also offer festival goers an incredible New Zealand film category showcasing the best of the local film-making and storytelling.

With so many cinematic masterpieces on offer this year, July is sure to be a busy month for all the film buffs out there.
