Growing up in Christchurch, Chris Parker has worked hard to become a self-created prolific actor, comedian and writer, working in television, theatre and comedy.
He’s toured the country with the extremely popular, Hudson & Halls Live!, as well having been in countless other theatre shows. He won Best Newcomer Award at the 2015 NZ Comedy Fest for his show No More Dancing in the Good Room, and recently starred in feature length film The Breaker Upperers. He has a podcast with fellow comedian and friend Eli Matthewson called The Male Gayz, and has been picked up to write for the big wigs of TV, such as Jono and Ben and Funny Girls.
He’s been open and candid about growing up and his experiences not fitting in, in a school centred around sports as someone who is gay and interested in the arts, and his newest show Camp Binch is about exactly that.
