A six-week showcase featuring 35 artists, community events and talks

Allpress Espresso is celebrating five years since opening their Studio doors; a place to support artists, designers, makers and community-minded groups.

Running from 1 August to 14 September, Allpress will host an exhibition titled ‘100 Artists’, to celebrate and acknowledge the creators who have shared their work in the space since its inception.

The six-week showcase will feature 35 selected artists, a range of community events and talks, and a limited-edition Allpress coffee, ‘100 Artists Blend’.

‘100 Artists’ features paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass works, photography and design by makers including Raukura Turei, Hannah Jensen, Jake Feast, Cruz Jimenez, Monmouth Glass Studio, Richard Hodder, Ken Griffin and Lisa Reihana.

All work will be available to purchase and priced between $250 - $2,500, meaning art lovers will have the opportunity to own something special from these great talents.

Highlights of the six-week celebration include:
• Opening Celebration of ‘100 Artists’ – featuring music, food and drinks.
• The Art of Building a Successful Brand – a Q&A style panel event featuring Michael Allpress, Steve Dunstan (founder, Huffer), Katie Lockhart (founder of Everyday Needs), Ava Nakagawa (owner/operator of Little Poms café, Christchurch).
• Lisa Reihana in Conversation – the artist talks about her work, her practice, her 2017 Venice Biennale show of in Pursuit of Venus, infected and her upcoming return to Europe to show at The Royal Academy of Arts in London, Paris, Toulouse and Berlin.
• Sofar Sounds Live – an intimate live gig featuring three different musical acts.
• Make Your Own | 100 Artists Blend – Have you ever wondered how your local barista makes coffee look so easy? Learn how to make your own on a La Marzocco coffee machine with an Allpress barista trainer.
