Be delighted by free pop-up performances from carnival bands to community choirs, DJs and more. Plus, join interactive drawing workshops and chance upon festive storefronts and neon-lit trees. Don't miss Santa's cheeky elves and be treated to free ice cream and doughnuts from the roaming tinsel monsters.
Circle past Smith & Caughey’s windows as hand-made puppets bring a new Christmas storybook to life - 'The Twelve Elves of Christmas’, written by Evie Day and illustrated by Liam Darcy. While you’re there, don’t miss Santa in his Enchanted Forest.
A little further south, Auckland Live Christmas in Aotea Square will stage Christmas karaoke, live music, an outdoor screening of Home Alone, games and an interactive augmented reality experience from Saturday 9 December. And on Saturday 16 December a special market day will fill midtown’s historic Strand Arcade! Browse goodies from the cute and cool to dainty and delicious. Shop for artisan crafts and vintage goods, meet the makers from the African and the city centre communities and bring the kids to get amongst free events.
