Have you heard of Singles Day? If not, you might be surprised to learn it's the biggest annual shopping event in the world! It launched in China a decade ago as a day for singles to celebrate themselves with a gift (it's held on November 11, or 11/11, with the ones referencing single people).

This year Britomart’s community of retailers and restaurateurs is getting involved in Singles’ Day with a huge range of special offers, discounts and gifts, all of them promoted with the construction of a six-metre-long tunnel in Takutai Square.

Inside the tunnel, users can scan QR codes linked to WeChat that offer discounts, special dishes and gifts with purchase throughout Britomart. The offers are valid throughout the week leading up to and including Singles’ Day, from Tuesday November 5 to Monday November 11.

Participating Britomart businesses include:

  • Karen Walker
  • Kathryn Wilson
  • Deadly Ponies
  • Juliette Hogan
  • Financial Markets Authority
  • Adidas
  • Café Hanoi
  • Xuxu Dumpling Bar
  • Nike
  • Huffer
  • Macpac
  • L’Occitane
  • Taylor
  • Zambesi
  • Ebisu
  • Fukuko
  • Ostro
  • Seven
  • Tommy’s Champagne Parlour
  • Southern Cross
  • Miles
  • WORLD

So bring your phone in (and, if  you don't read Chinese, a friend who can translate might be helpful) and scan the codes to discover brilliant deals valid at Britomart fashion retailers and restaurants.
