DJs Kiran Dass + Gran’s Remedy 
Wednesday 13 Dec, 12pm - 3pm
Regular fixtures at the underground dive joint Goldies Tavern, these two vinyl-loving cats also adore cats. They sometimes play records at the wrong speed, but nobody ever notices.

DJ Uncle Barnie 
Thursday 14 Dec, 12pm - 3pm

Uncle Barnie has lugged crates full of electro-cumbia, calypso, funk, soul, and more from Berlin to Edinburgh, Ibiza to Barcelona, London to New York, and finally Aotea Square.

DJ Martyn Pepperell  
Friday 15 Dec, 12pm - 3pm

The freelance music journalist, DJ, and broadcaster from Wellington will be playing calypso, soca, Caribbean disco, and Japanese boogie for your listening pleasure.

Southern Cross Korean Performance Group
Saturday 16 Dec, 11am – 12pm

This Korean performance group has been enriching the cultural diversity of Auckland since 1977. Consisting of young Kiwi performers with Korean heritage, SCKPG covers a wide range of performance ranging from traditional Korean dance to modern musical and pop.

Stand Up Stand Out

Prepare to be wowed by exceptional live performances, fresh from Auckland’s up-and-coming, young, music talent. Auckland Live Summer in the Square will be showcasing top, youth musicians, who recently took part in this year’s Stand Up Stand Out competition. Don’t miss the chance to catch these young stars in action, as they perform their own original music and new takes on well-known songs.

95bFM Kids Show with Lee Live in Aotea Square
Sunday 17 Dec, 7am – 10am

The iconic 95bFM Kids Show returns to Aotea Square for a special one-off live broadcast. Come down for breakfast and join Lee and a cast of his weird and wonderful friends for stories and songs live on the radio.

Latin Fiesta Weekend

¡Vamos a la fiesta!  Get ready to party because we’re packing two stages with sizzling Latin music, dance and celebrations all weekend long. The food will be delectable and the outfits fabulous.

Pennie Black, former programme director at 95bFM, now rock’n’roll music manager, DJ and party planner, introduces a healthy dose of good times, gloom and glam. 

Shenandoah Davis (USA)

Seattle-based singer-songwriter-pianist Shenandoah Davis has shared stages with Laura Marling, Martha Wainwright, Angel Olsen, Perfume Genius and many more. 

Classical Weekend
Friday 19 - Sunday 21 Jan

This weekend we have the perfect symphony of musical talent, classic experiences and orchestral bliss. Come and be serenaded by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra’s Young Achievers, the Royal New Zealand Navy Band and New Zealand Opera and so much more.  And no Auckland Live classical weekend would be complete without offering a sneak peek inside the Auckland Town Hall Organ.

Folk Week
Monday 22 - Thursday 25 Jan

Auckland Live is celebrating 45 years of the Auckland Folk Festival, right here in Aotea Square. On the main stage there will be performances by some of New Zealand’s finest folk musicians including Flip Grater, Fables, and Reb Fountain. During the week, Aotea Square will be home to New Zealand’s smallest music venue, Tiny Town, with surprise performances waiting inside.

Peter Baecker’s 80’s Dance Party (Austria) 
Friday 26 Jan, 6pm - 9pm

The silver-suited, metre-high mohawked 80’s dance instructor travels the world bringing Spandex and joy to anyone who needs a smile and a dance. 

Enenra - The Groove Sessions  
Saturday 27 Jan, 1pm - 5pm

A healthy blend of dub, jazz, funk, and soul grooves selected and mixed by Enenra, accompanied by bursts of live energy from guest musicians throughout the afternoon.

Afro Beats party
Saturday 27 Jan, 7pm – 10pm

The Afro Beats party at Aotea Square brings you DJ ORIKoL and her #JustGetDown dance floor entertainment platform, featuring Triplelan, the local King of Ndombolo and his band.
