  1. Art off the Beaten Track
    Auckland’s central city is full of art – and not just in the places you’d expect. Take a look beyond the galleries and sculptures to the cafés, fashion boutiques, hair salons and even car parks, and your city art experience will be all the richer for it.

  2. Auckland War Memorial Museum
    Auckland Museum is regarded as one of the finest museums in the Southern Hemisphere and is renowned for its unique collection of Maori and Pacific treasures. It is also a war memorial for the Auckland province. FREE entry for Auckland residents with donation recommended for NZ residents.

  3. Whittaker’s Big Egg Hunt
    Pick up a Whittaker's Big Egg Hunt map and make your way around the central city to view, capture and share photos of fantastic egg artworks in support of Startship Hospital.

  4. Wynyard Quarter Playground
    It's hard to beat a sunny day down at Wynyard Quarter with the kids. The fantastical playground keeps them well entertained and the water feature is there for them to cool off with a splash. the grassy knolls are also perfect for picnicking and if you're up for a game of basketball there's always someone at the courts who is keen to play.

  5. Free Yoga in the City
    Get your dose of 
    health, happiness and serenity at this free event every Wednesday from 12-1.30pm. These are drop in sessions that allow anyone to come in and participate, perfect for a quick pick me up on your lunch break.

  6. New Zealand Maritime Museum
    Cast off for a journey to discover New Zealand’s story. The Maritime Museum tells the stories that created a nation, stories that have define our identity as New Zealanders.​ Visting the museum is free with an additional cost for sailings which are certainly worthwhile!

  7. Auckland Art Gallery
    History, heritage and culture are brought to life at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. Founded in 1888, it remains New Zealand’s largest visual arts experience. ​The Art Gallery is free entry for viewing permanent collections and tours of the building.

  8. Salsa Nights at The Mexican Café
    Whether you think you can dance or not, as long as you have passion in your movements and love a good time then you're up for a night of fun at these informal, free dance nights.

  9. The Container Library
    A simple container has been upgraded to be our very own open library on the waterfront. In a picturesque setting on the Viaduct side of the Te Wero Bridge you can lay back on the bean bags and read to your heart's content.​
