20 April, 2015

With a blast of cold weather last week there have been noticeably more sniffles about. To help you beat off those winter blues and give your body a health hit we’ve scoured the city for the best teas, tonics, juices and smoothies, all of which you can grab in a hurry to boost up your immune system. What’s more they’re all delicious.

  1. Little Bird Unbakery
Recently opening in Britomart, Little Bird Unbakery has expanded its offering to include the all new ‘Squeezery’. Just in time for the winter months they now serve a selection of fresh cold pressed juices and tonics that all pack a powerful health hit. We recommend the Flu Tonic, loaded with anti-microbials such as turmeric, ginger, lemon and cayenne pepper that promise to leave bugs running out the door.

This cafe is a long standing staple in the central city health food scene and their freshly squeezed juices have been enjoyed by many over the years.
