As the city is dressing up for Christmas, get into the holiday spirit by exploring the familiar city streets transformed with beautiful decorations. Experience the magic of the festive season with Santa himself, intricate baubles, stunning lights and much, much more. 

Santa on Queen Street

Thanks to the generosity of Mansons TCLM Auckland's iconic Santa returns to the central city. Catch him atop the Farmers building on the corner of Queen Street and Victoria Street East. 

SKYCITY Christmas Markets
10am to 2pm, Sundays from 26 November

Come and experience the delight of Christmas at SKYCITY with the charming Christmas markets, open over five weekends in the lead up to Christmas. If you’re looking for a unique, hand crafted gift for a special loved one come and visit the markets.

Auckland Live Summer in the Square
1 December - 4 February, Aotea Square

Smith & Caughey's Window Decorations

Another Christmas favourite is Smith and Caughey's annual window display with magical Christmas decorations including beautiful hand-made puppets, twinkling lights, trimmed trees, and much more, all based on a special Christmas storybook tale. This year's theme is a Pirate’s Night Before Christmas.
