Ways to get out on the Waitemata Harbour

There are so many ways you can get out on the harbour with the Maritime Museum's special sailings. The various trips include:

Ted Ashby Harbour Cruise

Head on this beautifully maintained heritage scow for a one hour voyage.

11.30am and 1.30pm - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

12pm and 2pm - Saturday, Sunday and most public holidays

Breeze Harbour Sailing

Sail the sparkling Waitemata Harbour aboard Breeze, a traditional wooden sailing ship similar to vessels used for New Zealand coastal and inter-dominion trades in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Test your sea legs with a 2.5 hour morning or afternoon sailing trip aboard Breeze. Trips depart every other Sunday and are suitable for adults and children over 12 years old. $40.00per person

Sunday 5 April – 9.30am – 12pm and 1pm – 3.30pm

Sunday 19 April – 9.30am – 12pm and 1pm – 3.30pm

6 hour Breeze Hauraki Gulf Sailing experience

Venture out into the Hauraki Gulf with a full day’s sailing trip on board Breeze Enjoy fantastic views of the Gulf’s historic landmarks and islands, look out for dolphins, and take a dip in the ocean if you’re feeling brave. Get involved and help the crew hoist the sails or just sit back and relax.

$110.00 per person - morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided. Beverages included (no alcohol is permitted on-board). Please advise of dietary restrictions upon booking.
