What makes the Bahn Mi at The Bamboo Basket so incredible is the freshly baked bread plus the perfect balance of flavours and textures - the bread is crunchy but light, the meat is packed with punchy flavours like lemongrass and chilli, the salad is unbelievably fresh and includes green coriander, cucumber sticks and pickled carrot - finished with a delectable combination of chicken liver pate and mayonnaise this is an utterly mouthwatering sandwich,
The Bamboo Basket offer nine different Banh Mi fillings including Saigon Piggie, Annie's Favourite, The Running Chick, ChickenGrass, Piggie Balls, The Happy Cow, Braised Beef, Green Lover and Jumping Fish.
Apart from Banh Mi, The Bamboo Basket also offers freshly made salads, traditional Vietnamese coffee plus savoury sticky rice. They also have some traditional Vietnamese sweet treats on offers such as Flan (cream caramel), Coconut Agar Agar and Bread and Banana Pudding.
For those hot summer days The Bamboo Basket also have a great selection of gourmet ice cream from Kapiti, Kohu Road, Thomas' and The Gelato Factory.
