About Luke Hurley:

Luke Hurley is a talented independent New Zealand guitarist and singer-songwriter, born in Kenya in 1957, he moved to New Zealand as a child. Luke gained early recognition with his song "Mona Lisa" on student radio during his time at the University of Otago. His diverse upbringing in Kenya and Zanzibar introduced him to Arabic, African, and Indian music, leaving a lasting impact on his sound. Influenced by artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, and Chick Corea, Luke's current style can be described as a fusion of Indian tabla and Irish rock.
