After an electrifying international premiere season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Aotearoa premiere at the Nelson Arts Festival in 2023, Double Goer by Foster Group Dance is back for their New Zealand Tour. The latest dance work by award-winning choreographer Sarah Foster-Sproull and dance heart-throbs Tamsyn Russell and Rose Philpott.
Double Goer (the English translation of Doppelgänger) is a surreal and physically grueling dance work that chronicles the meeting, battle, and potential demise of two strikingly similar women. Throughout this 50-minute dance show, the women battle for supremacy through acts of competition, wit, physical agility, and stamina in a terrain of intricately hand-painted artifacts. Watch as two powerhouse dancers exert their physical labor, tricks, hustle, and feminist wile in an effort to decimate each other for your entertainment.
