Vittorio Barbati and the Cornerbar team have been working hard to find the next great mix of local beers for their second Tap Takeover series this Autumn.

8 Wired will be kicking off the celebrations on Tuesday 13th of August from 3pm, an award winning brewery with a focus on new world interpretation of an old world style. Meet Soren Eriksen the man behind it all, who took inspiration from a beer kit in Australia back in 2006. Look out for OUTATIME, Malthouse Westcoast IPA challenge beer or Tall Poppy India Red Ale, all guaranteed to make you hoppy!

On Tuesday 27th August, the diehard patrons of Cornerbar will get to meet beer enthusiast, Paul Croucher. Born in Rotorua and loved all over, Croucher is the taste of discovery, from the home of adventure. Every Croucher beer is an invitation to explore, a reminder that life is about making great stories and great beer is about sharing them. We will be showcasing their super tasty, award winning Sulphur City Pilsner 5.0%, the Volcanic NZAPA 5.5%, Moodride Black IPA 5.5% and their famous Ultra 7% IPA all fresh off the keg.

Scott Taylor from Deep Creek will be joining us behind the bar on Tuesday 10th September to show off their new beers. The lineup will include Undercurrent Pilsner, Gold medal and Champion Trophy medal winning International Lager AIBA 2019 and Misty Miyagi - Hazy IPA, their biggest selling beer.

To complete the series, Yoyo from the Garage Project Relationships Team will be joining us on Tuesday 24th September. From a humble start brewing on a 50L kit, brewing 24 beers in 24 weeks to now having a recipe book of over 350+ different beers and counting. Garage Project continue to keep the same ethos creating great, thought provoking beers that continue to push boundaries. A series finale, Cornerbar and Garage Project invite you to try something new.

Whether you’re a full-time beer nerd or part time sipper, this tap takeover series will give you a better knowledge and understanding of how local beer is made, why it tastes so good and most importantly a new go to brew. Along with the expert knowledge and tastings there will be the opportunity to win a number of giveaways including beers, merchandise and gift vouchers. #tastedebretts
