Kiwis are invited to the New Zealand Fashion Week party to experience all the hype, fun and style at NZ Fashion Weekend.

Running from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September, Fashion Weekend will be hosted at the new Aotea Square and Auckland Town Hall precincts following the four trade-focussed days that are NZFW.

Featuring the best the industry has to offer Fashion Weekend will be home to in-season shows and seminars offering an early glimpse at key spring/summer trends and the latest ranges from some of NZ’s best-loved brands.

Beauty is a big focus too, with the Farmers Beauty Hub and More Beauty Area showcasing premium hair and makeup brands across Saturday and Sunday. Leading experts will be on-hand to share their knowledge, tips and tricks and both zones will be brimming with well-being, pampering opportunities and the latest beauty trend information.

And last but certainly not least, the famous Designer Pop-Up Sale returns for one day only on Sunday where shoppers can score designer pieces at a fraction of the price. Bursting at the seams with New Zealand’s favourite designer fashion, footwear and accessory labels including Hailwood, Flo & Frankie and exciting newcomers like Jet Set Bohemian.

“NZ Fashion Weekend is such a fantastic fashion-and-fun-packed few days, and this year is possibly the most exciting and diverse,” says NZFW founder and managing director Dame Pieter Stewart.

“It’s also NZ Fashion Weekend’s 10th anniversary, which makes it particularly special – so there’s even more to celebrate.”

Since its inception in 2009, NZ Fashion Weekend has continued to establish itself as a premium, public-ticketed event offering attendees unforgettable brand experiences and insight into the local fashion industry.

The Resene Designer Runway show will kick the Weekend’s festivities off on Friday at 6pm with in-season collections from every NZFW designer making an appearance, alongside key hair trends and makeup looks. The show promises high energy and a lot of fun, as well as the chance to make a mental shopping list that can be purchased almost immediately post show. And if you miss the Friday night slot the Resene Designer Runway does it all again on Sunday.

New Zealand fashion royalty Zambesi then set Friday night on fire with an unmissable retrospective runway show that will officially open NZ Fashion Weekend all while celebrating the brand’s 40th year. Attendees can expect to see Zambesi’s most memorable designs from 1979 to 2019 and a true commemoration of iconic Kiwi style.

On Saturday morning, the much-anticipated Farmers’ Kids Show kicks off at 11am. With mini models showcasing the latest in kids’ fashion, expect energy, a whole lot of cuteness and maybe a tantrum or two.
